NanoTrasen Representative

Access: Command, Maints, Security, Engineering, Medical, Science
Difficulty: Boring until someone funks up (and they will)
Duties: Represent NT, Send reports back to them on the stations' situation, inform the heads of anything CentComm orders them to do. Cry in a corner while your 700 faxes go unanswered.
Supervisors: Central Command
Subordinates: Internal Affairs Agents
Guides: Standard Operating Procedure, Alert Procedure and Space Law

The NanoTrasen Representative (NT Rep) is a corporate liaison stationed aboard NanoTrasen facilities, serving as the direct embodiment of Central Command's interests. Tasked with ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Space Law, the NT Rep operates as an advisor to station command, without direct command authority unless explicitly granted by Central Command.

Disclaimer: If you are playing a NT Rep and you decide to log off for the round before it is over, please notify admins with an AHelp. The NT Rep is a game altering character and it is deeply important you do not disappear without notice.

Standard Operating Procedure

The Standard Operating Procedure is your bread and butter. It's your best friend and your greatest asset as a NanoTrasen Representative. Make sure you're familiar with it and the general procedures surrounding command staff. See Standard Operating Procedure, Alert Procedure and Space Law.

Overview

The NanoTrasen Representative holds no inherent command authority on the station. Their influence stems from their role as Central Command's representative and their ability to escalate matters beyond the station. In situations where all command staff are incapacitated or absent, the NT Rep may assume temporary command until relieved.

Responsibilities

You are CentComm's ACED in their time of need. However, this comes with some responsibilities, as outlined below.
Advise: Provide counsel to station command on procedural matters.
Communicate: Utilize fax machines to report incidents, request guidance, or escalate issues beyond station capabilities.
Enforce: Monitor and report violations, ensuring all departments adhere to established protocols.
Document: Maintain records of incidents, investigations, and communications for accountability and future reference.

Equipment

Standard Issue: Formal attire, a briefcase, stamp, a centcomm authorized fancy green handheld fax machine.
Optional: Flash or cane for personal defense and mobility.

Additional Notes

Stamp stamp stamp!
The NT Rep must always stamp official documents before sending them to Central Command. An unsigned or unstamped report is not an official one. Subsequently, they are likely to ignore your report (or worse!) if they can't verify it's you sending it.

Oversee, don't act
While the NT Rep can advise and report, they should not directly intervene in departmental operations unless violations occur.

An NT Rep without books would be like an engineer without tools
The role requires a deep understanding of SOP and Space Law. If you're not fully familiar or start to doubt yourself, feel free to seek advice from your search engine of choice or the gods themselves
