Account Creation

1. If you look over to the left side, you will see the Register button with a small writing icon, go ahead and click that.

2. To continue, you'll have to agree to these terms. These terms are for using the software which this forum is based on, not for Funky or the authentication servers.

3. You will be greeted with a short form to fill out (feel free to put whatever information you are comfortable including here).

4. This is a notice to check your email, so go log into that.

5. You should see an email from tay ([email protected]).

6. Go ahead and click on the link to confirm your email.

7. You should get a confirmation screen! You have now created your username and password for your forum account. Let's make a game account now.

8. Click User Control Panel on the left side (it should be just above profile, around where you clicked register. Then, click Profile. After that, click Link Space Station Account. Then make an account or link your previous one.

NOTE: Do not use the top box until further notice, please make a temp account using the "CREATE A SPACE STATION 14 GAME ACCOUNT" We will link your old account with your new one if we are able to.

9. You should see this screen, which will confirm you have made a game account! If you have any questions feel free to reach out to admins and we will try to help!

Hope this was helpful, if you want to play on a Funky authenticated server, submit an AUTH ticket with the server you want to play on, and head on over to the after authentication post. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to admins and we will do our best to help you.

Funky Whitelisting

1. Go back to the main page and click on whitelist.

2. Click on template.

3. Go back out, and click on the "New Topic" button, paste the template into the body of your post, and fill it out. After you're finished, feel free to post and we'll get to you when we can!

Funky Authentication Setup

WINDOWS

NOTE: This guide assumes you have either successfully authenticated with Funky Station by opening a ticket and having a member of staff link your account, or you linked your account before the main authentication servers were shut down. If you do not qualify for that, please visit: https://discord.com/channels/1276640157511979008/1276657086280892487/1512741275600818216 to open an authentication ticket.

Please remember to read all the text carefully, and go through step by step. There are some temporary steps we've had to implement which are important to getting your launcher set up correctly to be able to play on funky or our partner servers, and not doing those can delay being able to play.

1. Go to User Control Panel, then click on profile, and then Link Space Station Account (do NOT go to Edit Account Settings and change your password there, there is no need to do this, and only affects your password on the forum, not in the launcher):

2. Once you are here, do NOT unlink your profile (if you need to link a profile, I believe you need to go to the top of this guide and open an AUTH ticket). Instead, set your password here. This is NOT your forum password, it is the one you will use for the Space Station 14 launcher:

3. Log out of your account on the launcher and close it if it is still open:

4. Close the launcher and exit steam or end task for it. You may use any of the three methods below (either a, b, or c. There is no need to use all three):

a. Here is how to do it in the client, just left click on steam, look at the bottom, and press exit:

b. Here is how to do it in your system tray, just open the arrow, right click on the steam icon, and press exit steam:

c. Here is how you do it in task manager, just open task manager, right click on whatever has the steam logo in the Apps section, and press end task:

5. Open command prompt by typing in cmd (or command prompt) in the search bar, and clicking on command prompt):

6. Type:

   setx SS14_LAUNCHER_OVERRIDE_AUTH "https://tempauth.funkystation.org/" 

in that cmd prompt (powershell works as well). You should get SUCCESS: Specified value was saved as seen below: 7. Reopen Steam 8. Relaunch SS14 9. Log in with the password you set from step 1 and your SS14 username as it appears in the Link Space Station Account section. We do not store your email on funkyauth servers, be sure to use the account username you chose. 10. Should be everything, if you’re noticing something is wrong or there are other things not working feel free to open a ticket and we will try to help!

Returning to the official authentication servers (Wizden’s authentication servers): To return to wizden authentication, run the above steps, but on step 5, type:

  setx SS14_LAUNCHER_OVERRIDE_AUTH "https://auth.spacestation14.com/

Flatpack

1. Set your password for your SS14 account on the funky forums a. Go to User Control Panel, then click on profile, and then Link Space Station Account (do NOT go to Edit Account Settings and change your password there, there is no need to do this, and only affects your password on the forum, not in the launcher):

b. Once you are here, do NOT unlink your profile (if you need to link a profile, I believe you need to go to the top of this guide and open an AUTH ticket). Instead, set your password here. This is NOT your forum password, it is the one you will use for the Space Station 14 launcher:

2. Log out of your account on the launcher and close it if it is still open:

3. Close the launcher. You do not have to close steam for this next step. Open your terminal and input the following command:

   flatpak override --user --env=SS14_LAUNCHER_OVERRIDE_AUTH=https://tempauth.funkystation.org/

4. Relaunch SS14 5. Log in with the password you set from step 1 and your SS14 username as it appears in the Link Space Station Account section. We do not store your email on funkyauth servers, be sure to use the account username you chose. 6. Should be everything, if you’re noticing something is wrong or there are other things not working feel free to open a ticket and we will try to help!

Returning to the official authentication servers (Wizden’s authentication servers): to return to the official auth servers, do everything before, but on step 4, input this into the command window:

   flatpak override --user --env=SS14_LAUNCHER_OVERRIDE_AUTH= 

(probably, needs testing)

Linux

1. Set your password for your SS14 account on the funky forums a. Go to User Control Panel, then click on profile, and then Link Space Station Account (do NOT go to Edit Account Settings and change your password there, there is no need to do this, and only affects your password on the forum, not in the launcher):

b. Once you are here, do NOT unlink your profile (if you need to link a profile, I believe you need to go to the top of this guide and open an AUTH ticket). Instead, set your password here. This is NOT your forum password, it is the one you will use for the Space Station 14 launcher:

2. Log out of your account on the launcher and close it if it is still open:

3. Close the launcher. Open Steam, and go to properties…

4. Enter this into the Launch options, close and run SS14:

   SS14_LAUNCHER_OVERRIDE_AUTH=https://tempauth.funkystation.org/ %command%

5. Relaunch SS14. 6. Log in with the password you set from step 1 and your SS14 username as it appears in the Link Space Station Account section. We do not store your email on funkyauth servers, be sure to use the account username you chose. 7. Should be everything, if you’re noticing something is wrong or there are other things not working feel free to open a ticket and we will try to help!

8. Returning to the official authentication servers (Wizden’s authentication servers): to return to the official auth servers, do everything before, but on step 4, input this into the steam launch options:

   SS14_LAUNCHER_OVERRIDE_AUTH=https://auth.spacestation14.com/ %command% 

Mac

1. Set your password for your SS14 account on the funky forums a. Go to User Control Panel, then click on profile, and then Link Space Station Account (do NOT go to Edit Account Settings and change your password there, there is no need to do this, and only affects your password on the forum, not in the launcher):

3. Close Steam by right clicking the application in the tray and clicking force quit. 4. Open your terminal. Type:

   SS14_LAUNCHER_OVERRIDE_AUTH=https://tempauth.funkystation.org/ open -a Steam %command%.

5. Relaunch SS14. 6. Log in with the password you set from step 1 and your SS14 username as it appears in the Link Space Station Account section. We do not store your email on funkyauth servers, be sure to use the account username you chose. 7. Should be everything, if you’re noticing something is wrong or there are other things not working feel free to open a ticket and we will try to help!

To revert this, follow the above steps again but instead, type:

   SS14_LAUNCHER_OVERRIDE_AUTH=https://auth.spacestation14.com/ open -a Steam

into the terminal to use Upstream Auth (you will not be able to connect to Cirno with this, this just resets it)
