Autolathe and You
Ah, the humble autolathe, a machine that is highly useful to everyone on the station! From the humble tider wanting a toolbelt, to the antagonists printing ammo for their weapons, this machine can do almost anything you require. All it needs are some simple materials and power.
The autolathe is a constructable machine that is usually found at roundstart on the station, usually in Departments like Cargo, Science, and Engineering. Some stations do have a public autolathe like on Glacier, but that's unusual. The autolathe can construct general purpose items and equipment that are non-researchable and not limited to specific techfabs. If there is something that you need made, it is usually found in the autolathe.
It needs to be anchored to a tile, with power supplied by an LV cable to be operational. It can also be emagged with a Cryptographic Sequencer (colloquially known as an emag) to add recipes to it that are not available usually, like ammo for firearms, and explosive payloads.
An autolathe machine board can be printed at a Circuit Printer, and can be completed in a Machine Frame with Modular Parts.
